We are pleased to offer our Taster Selection Box - a sample box of 6 different types of hay for your little ones to test. This collection offers both great value for money and a wide range of very different hay types.
We all know how difficult it can be to decide whether to 'risk' buying a new hay or not. Will my little ones like it? Is it dusty? It's a bit expensive, is it worth the money? And will they eat it?? Do they like chunky coarse hay? Short bits? Seed heads? Leafy green bits?
Over the years we have realised those best to answer these questions are our little ones, and not us. Yes, of course we can tell if a hay smells bad, or is really dusty or full of nasty bits. But could we tell the difference between a good hay and a really great hay from a four legged perspective? We can have a good guess ... but our little ones really know!
And how many times have you bought a hay which you though looked really good, only to find your little ones refuse to eat it? Ours have literally turned their backs on a few hays we have offered in the past. Or even flung the hay around with total disgust!
The Taster Selection Box contains a generous handful of 6 different types of hay, focussing on the following key hay features to help you determine where your little ones' preferences may lie:-
* Coarse timothy hay
* Rich & leafy hay
* Longer stranded meadow hay
* Thin/softer meadow hay
* Grain-based hay
* Hay with inclusions (added herbs or flowers)
As the cut of some hays and grasses can change through the year, we focus on the key features of the hay, rather than specific brands - but we're happy to include a specific hay if you have a preference. Please just let us know when you order.
In addition to the above hays, we will include a sample of food for either rabbits or guinea pigs and some other goodies too.
If you prefer a Taster Box without food (pellet) samples, or you're buying for an animal other than those specified, select 'Other Animal' - you'll get the same great hays but without food samples.
Please note we may substitute one of the above at any time, but rest assured we will always ensure there are at six very different yummy hays and a selection of yummy herby things for your little ones to sample.
And when your Taster Pack arrives, open from the top (label side) so you can see the hay identification labels and handy QR codes for ease of ordering if your little ones approve!

These are the best hay samples I've seen so far. I did order samples from different stores in the past and my fussy rabbit did not want to eat any of them. Instead of eating hay, he plays with it. I tried everything and nothing was ever good enough for him. So after his 3rd dental procedure I was searching again, found these samples and ordered them as my last hope. I was shocked to see that he was munching on this hay like it was the best thing he's ever tasted. If you have a rabbit that does not want to eat hay - do not hesitate and order this taster box.

The taster selection pack is such a good idea to try your rabbit on different hays, of course my rabbit's liked them all so I purchased a bag of assorted hay's for them.

This is a great opportunity to test out possible new foods with fussy eaters. It saves on buying larger bags/bales and then finding out the rascal won't eat it! There were also some extra small samples that were fun to try. I was pleased to find some samples he liked. As expected, there were a few he wasn't into but the quantity was plenty to try without wasting big quantities of food. Also, the actual sample bags weren't plastic which was welcome.

It was really good to be able to try out all the different hats for my fussy bunny. It was great getting the tester packs of pellets too as my bunny is a rescue who came to me on museli and Im fed up of my buying big bags of nuggets that she wont eat! Ive now found a hay and a new pellet for her!
