Papaya & Pineapple Melange is a natural treat food for small animals - including rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs and gerbils.
Both papaya and pineapple have been reported to show beneficial effects in the prevention of furball problems as they contain the enzymes papain and bromelain. These enzymes may help soften food and hair in the stomach and so may help prevent blockages.
The scientific community is still undecided on whether feeding papaya or pineapple is really effective. But some rabbit owners claim that supplementing with digestive enzymes is the only way they can prevent hairballs in their rabbits, other owners say they see no difference.
A natural treat which may be good too!
As with all treats (especially fruits) Papaya & Pineapple Melange should be fed sparingly.

I really really love these yellow and orange things my Mommy gives me to eat. They are just yummy in my tummy - Nom Nom Nom! I can't get enough and Mommy can't feed me fast enough so I put my head in the tub and get my own. HA! Mommy said I need to say Thank you to Lisa and Louisa for sending me these sweeties.
