DESCRIPTION

An American grown long stranded coarse Timothy Hay from Deans Farm; fresh smelling and a gorgeous golden/green mixed colour. The hay includes a thick coarse stem, leaf and seed head for all-round munchiness (and if there isn't such a word, then there should be!).

As with any hay, the stalkiness and leafiness of this hay will vary from batch to batch and through the year; if you have any queries about which cut we currently have in stock, please get in touch..

This Deans Farm American Timothy hay is expensive but I have found that it is enjoyed by all whom are subjected to its inviting juicy grassy smell. All of my buns love it. I have tried feeding the cheaper alternatives but have found that they all strop out wanting the good stuff and keep this up until they get what they want!

The only issues I have had with this stuff is opening and closing the bag. It has one of those humongous plastic ties, (they used to put this on the bags of bread from the supermarket, that is if you are old enough to remember of course!!), these ties are quite frankly a pain in the arse. Arthritis zaps strength and it can take me forever to get enough twists on the bag to make it thin enough to go through the tie. Saying that, the plastic bags that they send the hay out is very strong. It has to be because the hay is spiky like mini javelins. Expect to get poked as you get the stuff out. Would recommend using gloves to protect your hands if taking large handfuls. Perhaps it’s just because I am an old fart and haven’t got the wonderful strength these youngsters have!
Never mind at least the rabbits love eating it. As this type of hay is so full of natural cellulose, it helps keep molars and incisors in check. Never had any dental problems since feeding this! Great product shame about the closure and price!

Guinea pigs munched through the hay quickly!

My rabbit loves this hay, it's one of his favourites. Recently I haven't been able to get hold of it in local shops, so he was very happy that I managed to get it online. I changed his hay straight away, and he was munching away very happily for ages.
